God Provides a Laptop

One of the things that I have really needed in my transition is a laptop. I have been praying about it. And I mentioned it to one of my good christian brother named Eric. And Eric gave me two laptops that were not working, but he said if I could get them working I could have them. So I took them into the shop, and the technician cleaned out the laptop, and got it working...and all it cost me was $30. So I post this blog on a laptop that God has blessed me with. He is so good to us........and I wanted to publicly thank Him for His goodness to us...

A Summer of Change - Becoming a Pastor

I have always known that God is calling me to be who He created me to be. In a real practical way, I realize that I am a pastor. However my congregation is really different. Most pastors have churches that meet and they have sheep that they shephard locally. God has put me in relationship with several youth groups throughout the United States. In these relationships that He has built, I feel a pastoring over the lives of the young people. These youth groups come for a week long mission trip with us in South Carolina, and I have the opportunity to pour into them for one week.

Here Comes the POET!

Every summer God seems to move among the internship program. Not only does He move in the lives of the interns, but He moves in my life as well. This summer has been no different. God has flipped a switch in me, and I am learning to walk in what He created me for. I realize that I am a pastor, and a poet. Not a poet in the typical sense of the term such as one who writes poetry, because I cannot write a lick of poetry. But a poet in the terms of how Walter Bruggemann talks about in his book Finally Comes the Poet: Here is an excerpt from his book:
